A post posted on the PsyBlog suggest that women who wear makeup have greater advantages than women who choose to go without. A study done in France, took two women and had them compare their men gravitational skills while wearing makeup and then bare faced. The chances of the two women picking up a man with a face on was more likely than with a cleaned face. The women sat at a bar and made suggestive signals to show that they had made contact with a man by crossing their arms. The frequency of them crossing their arms was much more frequent when the women had makeup on. In fact, 1.3 times more. Does this study mean that women should wear makeup to find a soul mate? Maybe not, but the chances of attracting a man are more likely with that gorgeous face on.
So, what else does this post tell us about women and makeup. Taking a deeper look in, would you say that makeup gives off a certain message to others. I most certainly would. Makeup is an extension of who you are, just like your clothing. Therefore, going out of the house with a bare, blank face, while standing next to a women wearing a red lip, may say to others that you just don't care about how you look. It may even say that you are a boring person, while the women with the red lips is telling other that she is confident, successful, and exciting.
Makeup tells a lot about a person, surprisingly. An article on Carefare.com, says that a fresh face gives off the impression that you are a caring person, and your personality is just as beautiful as your beautiful nude look. your are determined and overbearing, but you are very likable because of your golden classic look. This golden blend tells others that they can trust you. Add a little pop of color with a color liner or a raspberry lip and you'll be telling people that your daring. Different makeup definitely gives off a lasting impression on those who you come in contact with.
These two articles both explore the benefits of makeup. They tell the plain Jane, lonely women that maybe to liven up her life, she should consider makeup. Many women do not see the need to wear makeup, but studies like the one above show that makeup does have a place in a woman's life. It can send off the messages that some women are afraid to just come out and say.
Let your makeup do the talking.

Poems that I Love!
Sugar And Spice And Everything Nice |
by JOY 14 |
I looked at her to see mascara running down the sides of her face Mixing with a lot of tears Of frustration mostly She glanced at me through tear glass eyes Like a rain showered wind shield without window wipers Stopping to take my hand playing with my fingers carefully fingering my rings Then, something happened that surprised me She smiled at me A little smile On her little face What could I do but Just smile back. I took a tissue and wiped up the rain, took her hand and walked with her to the playground where she gladly played for hours on the swings I sat and watched perched on slanted monkey bars and knew better than to leave my makeup just laying around. |

Rainy Days, Downplay your Makeup Today
When there are rainy days, its seems as if there would be no way to wear makeup. Why?, when all the rain will just wash it all away. Well i find rainy day to be the perfect opportunity to just go natural. Natural makeup will never conflict with the crazy weather conditions that may come. The best natural look is a great moisturizer with a hint of shimmer, mascara, and a lip gloss. Don't let rainy days rain on your makeup parade. xoxo
Tools to get the look:
-One of the hottest primers out on the market is the Dior Skin-flash Primer. This product is used right before applying foundations to smooth and even out the skin, but i bet it could double as an moisturizer with a tint. Perfect for that moisturizer with shimmer that i mentioned above. This primer goes for about $40 at Sephora.
-Mascaras are usually the easiest to pick out. There are a lot good mascaras, but the most affordable ones can be found right in your local Rite Aid or CVS. a particular favorite of mine is the Maybelline Lash Stiletto.
-And for that pop of gloss to add life to your lips, try CO Bigelow Apothecaries Mentha Lip Tint in Pink Mint. This gloss has the perfect shine and the greatest plus of all is that it doubles as a breath freshener. This lip tint sells for only $7 at any Bath & Body Works or right online.
There is your rainy day look! Enjoy and let me know how
